Wood-ward near the Inner-temple Gate, Fleetftreet. 1715. ~ FIRST AND ONLY EDITION ~ Modern half calf over marbled boards, title dusty, some water staining, ownership inscription of Hugh Duning, dated 1756 to title page. An octavo volume, it measures approximately 19cm (7�") x 12.5cm (5") x 3cm (1"). Pagination pp. [8], 244, [4], collated and complete. ESTC notes that the "Eminent London physician", is variously attributed to D. Oxenbridge and Sir Samuel Garth. The preface states that "the manufcript from which thefe Sheets were printed, was a prefent made to the Ingenious Doctor Thoroughgood, an eminent Phyfician of Halefworth in Suffolk who fet a great Value upon it; but fince his Death the Doctor's friends thought it might not be unacceptable to have it publifh'd after fome phyficians of Note had revifed it, and given their Approbation..."
