This is a 1753 poster from the house of Meermans-Burgh in Leiden, The Netherlands. The home was set up as a charity. Old woman who were widowed or single could pay a sum of money and move into the house. This poster outlines the 18 rules by which they had to live. The poster measures about 42 cm x 52 cm and is in generally clean condition. I've found an old photograph of the building which still stands as seen below. I belive that the house itself was built in 1681. GUARANTEED ORIGINAL - NO REPRODUCTIONS! EMAIL: I COMBINE SHIPPING - SEE MY OTHER ITEMS!
