The larger fully handwritten document is a "true copy from the original", on vellum, a will of John Warren. The smaller printed and handwritten paper is on old laid paper, speaks of the death of John Warren in 1756 and at top is written: By His Excellency Jonathan Belcher Esq. Captain General & Governor in Chief in and over his Majesty's Province of New Jersey and Territories thereon depending in America Chancellor & Vice Admiral in the Same ...Larger parchment is about 17 x 12 inches. Will gives 100 acres of land to son (Gamliel, and possibly Samuel as well) and land to his daughters (Rebekah and Mary it seems) and speaks of his wife as well, and slaves are mentioned.
