1:18 Model Icons 701001 Jaguar Mark 2 Inspector Morse Brand New and In Box!The car is in mint condition! Not been taken out of the box!Back ground- The jaguar Mk2's status as a timeless "British classic" was cemented in 1987 when Colin Dexter's Inspector Morse novels were brought to the TV screen. Although in the original books Morse had a Lancia, for the TV production, it was decided that he should drive a classic British car and a 1960 2.4 litre Regency Red Mark 2 was chosen. The inspector Morse Character played by John Thaw dies during the final episode. but in 2006 a new series, Lewis, came to the screen, also set in Oxford and featuring Morse's long time assistant Sergeant Lewis as the main character. In August 2011 it was announced that filming would start on a prequel entitled Endeavor and would star Shaun Evans playing Morse in his university days. The Morse jaguar Mk 2 is one of the most iconic cars ever to have featured on the small screen .
