This is an authentic Victorian chamber bell used to summon maids. It has a solid sterling handle with beautiful engraving, and is labeled "Sterling Handle" with the makers mark of the letters "C" over a "W" with and arrow passing through the letters. Original silver cast iron clapper bell that gives a perfect ringing tone. I believe the bell is another metal and is possibly silverplate. Measures 4 3/4 inches tall and was set bedside and used to summon the maids or help. Original authentic piece. Excellent condition with minor toning to bell.
