London: Conference-Office, George Story, Agent, 1808.Extremely rare early Methodist hymnal by John Wesley; truly a rare chance to grab an early piece of Methodist history. Original leather boards with pleasant patina, the boards with some warping from the one present brass clasp, some staining and rounding; the spine with rule and faded deco, as shown. Hinges and joints intact. Main text with some minor browning/ staining, but overall still in good shape. Signed on the first EP (detached) by a Dixon Armstrong in 1809, else unmarked and all bound. 548 pages. Roughly 4.75" x 3" x 1.5". Scarce! Add a map to your own listings. FREE Trial!
