1817 MEMORIAM OF PRINCESS CHARLOTTE PORCELAINEOUS JUG PINK LUSTRE Here we have a lovely piece of history it is 1817 Princess Charlotte in Memoriam porcelaineous jug banded in pink lustre and printed in black with figures grieving at a tomb picturing Charlotte. Princess Charlotte of Wales (Charlotte Augusta; 7 January 1796 – 6 November 1817) was the only child of George, Prince of Wales (later to become King George IV) and Caroline of Brunswick . Had she outlived her father and her grandfather, King George III , she would have become Queen of the United Kingdom, but she died following childbirth at the age of 21 The jug is 10.5cm high to the top of the handle and 13.6cm long. For its age this jug is in very good condition, no cracks and no repairs,on the base it has a couple of tiny rim chips one you can see in picture1 & 3. You dont see much Princess Charlotte pieces these days. Also selling other commemorative items, can combine postage. Handle - both sides of the handle have a colour disfigoration this has just come with age and wear and tear
