1838 A Women Slave pictured "AM I NOT A WOMAN & A SISTER" on obverse, on reverse "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA LIBERTY 1838" It's a US Abolitionist Anti-Slavery Hard Times token HT-81, Low-54 Copper, 28mm, nice Extra Fine condition. Very nice shiny subduded redish iridescent tint and luster in the edge lettering which don't show up on the scans. Just a beautiful specimen.The slavery Question had became a national political issue in 1838, hence this token to popularize and advance the cause of freedom.Not cleaned in Expert opinion of high end national coin dealer.Bid with confidence guarantee original and 10 day no question asked return policy
