1850 P3CS Three Cent Silver, Judd-125 Original, Pollock-147, R.4, PR61 NGC. The obverse features a Liberty cap surrounded by rays. LIBERTY is on the bottom part of the cap and the date is below. A palm branch encircles the entire reverse to form a wreath, enclosing the numeral III. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA rings the rim. Struck in silver with a plain edge. The design is similar to Judd-67, the well known 1836 gold dollar pattern. Delicate powder-blue and almond-gold toning adorns this satiny example. The overall strike is good though a few letters in LIBERTY are incomplete. Grade: 61, Service: NGC, Service No.: 11536, Issue Date: 1850, Denomination: P3CS, Variety: J-125
