The Operating Label With The Seth Thomas Plymouth Hollow Name that is in Great Condition Also This Clock Also has its Old Weights, Pendulum and Brass Winding Crank This Clock has the Hand Painted Reverse Painted Glass in the Lower Door The Glass has the "Iranastan Building" The Upper Glass is Old and Wavy The Reverse Painting Glass is also in Great condition also Dial is a Excellent Professional Painted Replacement The Original Mahogany Finish From the Factory remains on the Clock. The Mahogany Veneer is also in Good Condition with Minimal Wear on the Corners, The Sides are Mahogany Also This clock will be packed extremely well and the glass will receive extra attention as always Seth Thomas Quality and Craftsmanship Stands out in this one. Movement has the Seth Thomas Stamps on the Brass Frame This Clock came out Before the Civil War Great Color Combination Of the Old Finish and The Glass & Dial Old Gold Gilt on the End Caps of the Columns This Clock Measures 26 inches in Height by 15 1/4 inches in Width and has a Hand Painted 7 inch Roman Numeral Dial The brighter spots showing up on the dial & Glass and the wood on the clock are light reflections and are not imperfections in the clock or in parts. Hello and Welcome to my Auction Site I am very proud to have owned this wonderful weight driven clock built by the Seth Thomas Clock company. This clock has seen fantastic care over the last 145 years since this clock came out years before the civil war. The Mahogany cabinet is in remarkable condition for its age and the joints are still strong in the clock. This was a very solid well built clock that has withstood quite a bit of history and change to our world. The factory finish on the clock is original also, The dial and reverse painted glass are greatly colored coordinated to accent the mahogany cabinet. The door opens and closes correctly and the latch behind the door knob keeps the door securely closed and flush to the cabinet. The sides of this clock are also mahogany veneered as you will find many were not. The hands are the original Seth Thomas hands that were commonly found on the weight clock built by this manufacturer. The crank to wind the clock works correctly and does not slip when you apply a turning motion. The brass adjustable pendulum bob I feel it is original to the clock as this clock came from a family estate. The old cast iron weights are original to the clock also. The movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and oiled and is in great operating condition. The movement is a thirty hour weight driven movement, besides keeping good time it strikes and counts the hour on a wire gong. The Label is also in very good condition and is also legible and has the operating instructions. The movement is a stamped Seth Thomas with the Plymouth U.S.A. stamp on it also. It is a thirty hour weight driven time & strike movement that announces and counts the hour on an old type brass hammer head, on a good sounding wire gong. The movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and oiled and is in great working condition. It is keeping good time at the house.
