What makes this copy of "Extract from the Journal of John Nelson: Being an Account of God's Dealing with Him from his Youth to the Forty-Second Year of his Age. Written by Himself. To Which is Added an Account of his Death" is the hand colored fraktur of a folk art flower adhered to the inside cover of the book, signed Charles Wykes 1853. The book itself was written by John Nelson and published by Lane & Tippett in 1848. It measures approx. 6" by 3-1/2" by 1/2" and has cover wear, some toning and foxing to the pages but it appears to be an unread copy with the pages still stiff.
