1853 John Alcock Staffordshire Vincennes Cobridge matching Platter, Tureen and Tureen Tray. Emblem on the back of both the platter and tray is "John Alcock Vincennes Cobridge". This transferware has a banded frame with centered scene of buildings, trees and people.The platter is 15.5" long x 11.75" wide x 1.5" tall. It is in superb condition with very minor signs of wear; there are no chips. It has the typical manufacturing flaws of the mid-nineteenth century. The tureen is 13" tall (on the tray) x 13" wide (at the handles) x 10.25" deep. It too is in superb condition with minor signs of wear. There is typical discoloration and monochromatic staining on the inside of the tureen from soup having been served in it. There is one chip on the tureen lid of 1/2" x 3/16" at the ladle opening. Again, the typical manufacturing flaws of the mid-nineteenth century.The tureen tray is 14" wide (at the handles) x 11.75" deep. As is the case with the other two pieces, i t is in superb condition with very minor signs of wear; there is one chip on the inside foot on the bottom of the tray about 1/4" wide x 2" long. It is only visible if you turn the tray upside down.Ladle is not original.
