Item DescriptionUp for sale we have a 1862 Russian Ethnic Lithograph Laurens Pauli's Narody RossiThis lithograph depicts the Kourde and Armeniens drawn by F. Teichel, check out the weapons on these guys.Up for auction we have 1 of a collection of wonderful color lithographs done by Winkelmann of Berlin Germany. It is believed they are from the 1862 book by Pauli "Narody Rossi" and that these are the illustrations used by Gardner as the basis of his figures depicting the different ethnic groups in the Russian empire in the mid to late 1800's. There are a number of reproductions of these prints but we guarantee these are authentic.The estate these came out of was actually a tutor employed by the Czar of Russia and the family was also behind the invention of Nabisco Shredded Wheat. The lithographs have been expertly appraised at between $200 and $400 each.Each of these lithographs measures 17 5/16 inches high and 12 11/16 inches wide. The exact dimensions of the image is 12 1/2 inches high and 8 7/8 inches wide. Condition: These lithographs are old but still in very good condition. Most have some degree of browning of the paper but the paper is still quite supple. This litho has holes in the corners from where it was tacked to a wall. There are also a few minor creases along the very edges which will not be visible when matted for framing. The colors of the lithograph are still very bright and the images are beautifully detailed.I will be happy to combine S&H if you purchase more then one of these, the only increase would be for the additional insurance. 2 pounds PaymentWe accept paypal as forms of payment.
