This is a very old antique book! It is the Adjutant General’s Report, 1864. On the title page, it says Public Document . . . . No.7. Annual Report of the Adjutant-General, of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts , with Reports from the Quartermaster-General, Surgeon-General, and Master or Ordnance, for the year ending December 31, 1864. Boston : Wright & Potter, State Printers, No. 4 Spring Lane. 1865. T are approximately 1, 179 pages in the book. It lists various regiments and companies on remarks about each one (died, mustered, disability, etc.) It also gives narratives of the regiments or w they were, what they experienced, etc. As you can tell from the pictures, the owner of this book also used it to dry leaves! T is a name of L. Ballard, New Salem , Mass. written on the inside. T doesn’t appear to be any torn pages; they are yellowed and some have stains from the leaf drying! The back cover is totally loose from the binding and the front cover has a small rip in the inside. This book has an extremely large amount of history! Considering its age, it is in good condition.
