It has all of it's pages and original binding and does not have any falling pages. However, it it old and worn on the outer hardcover (which is red and gold) has fraying around the edges, tears in the inner binding (though still intact) and some mild yellowing on the starting pages. It has a handwritten inscription written on the inside cover, apparently from the giver to his wife..dated 1883, and then a later one dated 1934...very charming and adds to the gently used and loved feeling of this very special old book.Pub.Philadelphia John E.
