1878-P Brilliant Uncirculated Morgan Silver Dollar Obverse II/I 8 - Reverse B/A b VAM 31 (Lines Through Leg, Broken N and M in UNUM) Part of the 7/8 tail feather set as a 7/0 reverse type VAM 31 is rated an R-4 (Very Scarce) on the Rarity Scale and an I-5 (Outstanding Die Variety with Prime Interest to Variety Collectors) on the Interest Level Scale, the highest Interest level available Obverse II/I 8 - the N and M in UNUM have broken bottom serifs and stars left 2,3,6,7 right 1,3,4,5 are doubled among other items. Reverse B/A b - Eagle has an extra left leg and talon that are remnants from original 8 TF design amd the 8 TF design can also still be seen in the leaves and top right of olive branch among other items. This Morgan silver dollar was part of my late fathers collection and had been stored in an airtight capsule in a Safe Box for decades.
