1880-S PCGS MS-64 -VAM-7 Doubled Date- Nice Toning!! Up for auction is a very nice MS-64 graded coin from PCGS. I typically do not call out die variations, also known as VAMs, but this one is quite nice. For anyone who enjoys a good doubled date, the VAM-7 illustrates some nice digit doubling. Included is an image of the date from this coin that shows the digit doubling in higher detail. More information on this VAM may be found at /1880-S+VAM-7 .This coin is a very nice example of a MS-64 graded coin with some exceptional toning in red hues on the obverse and reverse. This coin has some light contact marks on Liberty's chin and around her eye, but nothing that is not expected with a MS-64 graded coin and it comapres very favorably to other MS-64s I have seen.
