1883 Brown Transferware Veg Dish Turners Staffordshire 1883 Brown Staffordshire Transferware Vegetable Dish/Casserole. Mark of G.W. Turner & Son, Tunstall, Staffordshire In business between 1873-1895. Measures 10-1/2" handle to handle x 5-7/8" and 2-1/2" high. Has a different pattern on each side. One side has Sail boats at sea with sun on the horizon and sea gulls. On the opposite side it appears to be maybe the side of a boat with rigging and maybe an oar ? and the moon in the sky. also has small vignettes of sailboats under the handles. The color is more of a reddish brown. This piece is in very good condition, No chips, cracks, stains or crazing. The earthenware has some pitting which was in the manufacture.
