Here's a Brilliant Uncirculated 1884-O Morgan that represents what coin investing is all about. It's about as white a Morgan as I've ever seen or listed too. Just gorgeous and sure looks better than a 62. It's been graded and certified by the top 3rd party service in the numismatic business. They assigned it GEM MINT STATE 62 for the sharpness of the strike, the stunning eye appeal and the luster. The coin was graded and holdered by the top service in the world and is as sharp as you'll find in this date and grade. Very few bagmarks and that's often the difference between grades; I'll just call it top of the grade but it sure looks higher. Note it has another feature which adds value to any certified Morgan: $$$ PRISTINE WITH ZERO SPOTS OR TONE $$$ ENTIRELY WHITE ON BOTH SIDES Collectors and investors trust a Morgan in NGC holders since you know for sure it's not only uncirculated but the surface is both original and never cleaned or altered. That counts a lot when you buy and even more when the day comes to sell. If it's in a PCGS or NGC holder, there's no questions asked. If it's in a "baloney holder", good luck finding a buyer. This 1884-O has superb brilliance. The fields even have mirror like quality. It "cartwheels" like a gem uncirculated Morgan should. Take a close look at this coin and you'll see what I mean. The all-white look is a nice "kicker"...it comes with the coin now and boosts the value even more when the day arrives to sell it for a huge gain. Whenever that is. Super white Morgans are worth a premium today and since that trend is intensifying, they'll be worth an even bigger premium years from now. It's exactly why so many Morgan collectors prefer silver dollars graded by NGC. This one has smooth and reflective surfaces. What a gorgeous Morgan ! The coin is probably as white a blazer as you could hope to find from this date and a superb example of the 1884-O mintage. It's a superior Morgan for this date, one known as a weak strike date. Top of the grade...even over the top ! Some will tell you this is an easy coin to find in a NGC or PCGS holder in this grade. Oh really ? How come you don't see more on ebay ? This is the largest Morgan market ANYWHERE and there's a noticeable lack of graded coins in this date available. Maybe at one time it was like an Easter egg hunt. Perhaps they were everywhere. Not so anymore. Graded Morgans in PCGS and NGC holders are not nearly so easy to find as even a year ago Why ? Fewer get graded than ever before. Grading is expensive and besides, most raw coins have been given a cleaning at some point. Those are placed in the NGC "DETAILS" slab. You see a lot of those these days. Grading services have also announced a huge uptick in cleaned, ungradable coins sent to them for holdering. A coin like this is exactly the type that will soar in value during the inflationary years ahead. Rare silver coins always lead the way in terms of appreciation during such times and this one will increase exponentially above it's cost in this auction.
