A Mint State 65 in this date is fast well over three hundred bucks. That means there's lots of room for the MS63 to rise in value. This early mintage is a tougher date to find one in this blazing certified condition too. Spend a moment analyzing your favorite price guide and you'll see they get cost prohibitve in higher grades. A huge percentage of the strike is in circulated condition and most raw 1884 Morgans have been cleaned at some point and cannot be graded. This certified 1884-P is an unquestioned investment in rare silver coinage and far superior to owning one in raw, ungradable condition. Just look at how many are available on here, regardless of whether they are offered for auction or at BIN prices.
