HIGH GRADE BLAZING 1884-P MORGAN BETTER DATE MINT STATE 63 PCGS GRADED & CERTIFIED SUPERIOR SILVER DOLLAR ! ******TOUGH FIND WITH A TOP CERTIFICATION****** Here's way more than another ordinary 1884 Morgan. The coin itself is nothing short of a gem. A gorgeous Mint State 63 Uncirculated example from the "P" mint. Cartwheel luster unsurpassed for the grade. A Mint State 65 in this date is fast well over three hundred bucks. That means there's lots of room for the MS63 to rise in value. This early mintage is a tougher date to find one in this blazing certified condition too. Spend a moment analyzing your favorite price guide and you'll see they get cost prohibitve in higher grades. A huge percentage of the strike is in circulated condition and most raw 1884 Morgans have been cleaned at some point and cannot be graded. This certified 1884-P is an unquestioned investment in rare silver coinage and far superior to owning one in raw, ungradable condition. Just look at how many are available on here, regardless of whether they are offered for auction or at BIN prices. The answer: far fewer than at any time in the past and it will only get more pronounced in 2013 and beyond. Most coins this age have been cleaned or polished at some point. It's a waste of money to try and get a cleaned coin graded. You still have to pay the grading fee and wind up without a graded coin. The hard work in collecting has been done for your with this superior and all-white 1884. THE APPEARANCE YOU SEE IS GUARANTEED NATURAL. IT'S NEVER BEEN DIPPED OR WHIZZED LIKE SO MANY RAW COINS ON HERE. PCGS has the best experts examine each coin and they determined the surface is unaltered and the coin has never been dipped or polished. They will not assign a grade to a Morgan with an altered surface. The all-white look is original. What sets it apart is the holder. It was graded and slabbed by PCGS. You cannot own a Morgan in a better holder. Their grade is the collector's assurance the surface hasn't ever met the polishing rag or been altered by a cleaning. THAT'S A KEY TO COLLECTING COINS. ANOTHER KEY ? FIND ONE WHERE THE NEXT GRADES UP ARE SUPER EXPENSIVE (LIKE THIS DATE). IT ENABLES YOUR COIN TO SHOW A SUPERB RETURN ON INVESTMENT. Along with NGC, they are considered the best grading service in the business. A coin which they've certified...and I mean any coin in any date...is a true investment. Compare that fact with the many bogus slab coins that come along every day on ebay. Those are, in many cases, cleaned or polished coins that are AU at best. If you think I'm wrong, watch what they sell for and if you've bought some, I can assure you that you likely overpaid for a polished coin. Don't get mad at me, I didn't make you buy it. Look it over good and you'll see I'm right. But that's how the collecting market works. New collectors especially are prone to "reaching for a coin" in a higher grade in a baloney slab. They "hope" it's a coin worth way more than the auction or purchase price. Hope really isn't much of an investment and "buying hope" is a poor collecting strategy. Anyone who thinks a graded coin is a graded coin is, quite simply, a fool. There are lots of quality sellers on ebay. They are the ones that sell graded coins with a certification that is both legit and investment quality....in other words, it says PCGS or NGC on the holder. When you buy one that was "graded" by a less-than-reputable service, you are inviting trouble now and trouble later. The trouble now is in the form of overpaying for a coin with a high probability of being cleaned or polished (or not even authentic !). The trouble later comes when you try to sell it and nobody will buy it. In the world of graded coins, the grader is everything. Stick to PCGS and NGC.
