Tappan's "League Bouquet" baseball decorative perfume bottle c.1890. 1 of less than 5 in existence and THE ONLY ONE with the original 11" wooden baseball bat storage case. Blown glass baseball bat shaped perfume bottle with original applied paper labeling having crossed bat and ball dÄcor. Label is nicest known. Retains original threaded silver plate end cap and original wooden baseball bat case. 6" long. Rarely offered early baseball related decorative object. Originally available in both clear and milk glass.One sold at Hunt Auctions in 2008 for $330. (label damage and cracked cap) At the time, Hunt Auctions said they'd only seen three of these. Another sold in a 2006 Robert Edward Auction in a grouped lot of 28 items for $1972, and that same lot sold in a 2015 SCP Auction for $1109. Hunt sold another one in 2014, for $605, also with label and cap damage.Herman Tappan Perfume Company of New York.
