is another old LAUDANUM / POISON bottle from my collection. This is a super nice old, 1880's / 1890's LAUDANUM bottle from WALKE & WILLIAMS, DRUGGISTS, Cor. Water St. & Roanoke Sq., Norfolk, Va.. The label say's: LAUDANUM - POISON ! . Three months old - 2 drops, One year old - 4 drops, Four years old - 6 drops, Ten years old - 14 drops, Twenty years old - 25 drops, Adults - 30 drops. The bottle has no chips, cracks or dings. Paper label has minor edge wear and two very small holes. If you watched the HBO Series Show " DEADWOOD " then you saw plenty of LAUDANUM use and abuse. It contained mostly Opium which many people got addicted to. The bottle stands 4 inches tall. Great conversations piece to add to your collection. Other towns near Norfolk are: Portsmouth, Newport News, Suffolk, Va. Beach, Chesapeake and Hampton. If you collect old labeled bottles, Medicine, Cure or Poison bottles, Walke & Williams Drug Store . Druggist / Pharmacy related items or items from Norfolk, the Hampton Roads area or just Va. / Virginia bottles then this will make a nice addition to your collection.
