If you are the high bidder on more then one of my auctions please wait until I e-mail you an invoice so you can save on shipping. This is a 1890's Sterling Silver Ketcham McDougall Damask Flowers Thimble. In the apex (inside top) is the trademark for Ketcham & McDougall. It is a large K with a small m and d on the sides. Below this it is stamped STERLING. Around the band is the design of Damask Flowers. Ketcham & McDougall calls this thimble 'Damask Flowers' because the background was supposed to resemble the ornamentation of daascened steel produced in Damascus from the Middle Ages. There is a space that looks like a banner for engraving. To the side is the size 9. At the bottom is a beaded rim. There are no holes and it is in round. The thimble is 13/16" tall, and the diameter of the opening is 9/16". I have insurance for U.S.A. bidders for .99 cents for $100, and for the international bidders it is $1.25 for $100.00.The only thing I ask of the international bidders is that they please speak English and can communicate with me. I only speak English. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not including in the item price or shipping charges. It is the international bidders responsibility. Some of my items are Thimbles (sterling silver, gold, brass, advertised, scrolls, flowers, wedgewood, birchcroft, abalone, cloisonne, and more), read more
