This white metal medal pictures Columbus with a maiden on deck and a star in the sky with the words "Chicago 21 Octbr 1892" and Guanahani 12 Octbr 1492" around the edge.The reverse side has a legend within a plaque "Esposizione Universale Chicago 1893 In Memoria Dell Illustre Navigatore Cristoforo Colombo" with an eagle above and a view of the exposition building below.Tiny print along the bottom edge "N. Fristrup. Inv. F. Schmahlfeld. S.C." and "V. Christensen.The medal is in very good condition with slight wear and somewhat dirty.
