This is an original 1894 Silver (or silverplated) Rifle Spoon for the Civil War Veterans 28th NATIONAL GAR ENCAMPMENT. The bowl of the spoon is nicely engraved with a castle as the top part of the shield. Within the shield, the bayonet of the Rifle is piercing through. The shield is divided by 3 designs and an eagle in each 3 portions with PITTSBURG in the center. No maker mark is on this spoon.This 5.75" Spoon is in excellent condition with just small light scratches on the reverse of the bowl, We have left this uncleaned for you to decide to retain some of the old luster or polish it.
