The spoon is about 6 inches long. The handle is rifle. On one side of the rifle it says 28th National Encampment with the year 1894 in the middle. Under that is are the initials GAR. The other end of the spoon has a shield with a bayonet through it and it reads PITTSBURG. In the late 1800s and early 1900s the correct spelling was to leave the h off the end. The spoon is in good to very good condition based on its age. Good luck.
