5 7/8 X 8 7/8 inch Peoples Party circular dated June 22 1894. Printer New Union Print, 411 Market ( San Francisco CA) --------- Carrie F. Young was one of the first advocates of women's suffrage in California, and was an activist for other political causes. Young eventually became a physician, the first woman to receive a medical diploma in California, from the Oakland College of Medicine in 1884. She married William J. Young who was a photographer in Boise City Idaho and Phoenix Arizona, and the couple had a son, Robert E. Bush who was the surveyor during the founding of Point Reyes CA.
