This is six issues of CENTURY magazine from May - Oct, 1895, bound into hardback form with brown leather-type binding. The front covers are included, and t are over 950 pages of great illustrations, great articles, and interesting fiction. Also, about 32 pages of antique ads. Lots of illustrations, but highlight is over dozen finely detailed early story drawings from Charles Dana Gibson, with the emphasis on female characters, soon to be recognized as the Gibson Girl. T's also an article by naturalist John Muir on Glacier Bay in Alaska. And a pictorial look at books being printed in Japan about General Ulysses S. Grant. And future president Woodrow Wilson writes on The History of Writing.With articles on: Planets, The Bible, Napoleon (a multi issue biography), Lincoln, the Civil War, Fox Hunting in Kentucky, Hypnotism, Native American Life, Keats, Edgar Allen Poe, Religion in Public Schools, How Men Become Tramps, The Future of War, The Marriage Rate of College Women, and lots more!In pretty good condition. Binding a bit worn and torn in some spots. Pages are very nice. Sent media mail.
