One of the most important references on the life of Christever written. EIGHTH EDITION Description: The author of this famous work: ALFRED EDERSHEIM (1825 - 1889) Hardcover books titled: THE LIFE and TIMESofJESUS THE MESSIAH Volumes I and II - dated 1896 on the title pages.Publisher:Longmans, Green and Co.New York - London - Bombay The covers on both are very worn and the ends of the covers on the spine are tattered.Vol. I has 698 pages - they are clean and untorn and amazingly, t is no foxing.The spine is loose. Don't know the term for this, but the spine seems flimsy. Vol. 11 has 826 pages - all clean and unmarked except for page 648 which has a sentence written in pencil at the top of the page,and pages 746-754 have pencil marks.Page XVII in the front of the book has a 1 1/2" bottom page tear.Covers are worn especially on the spine.6 1/2" x 9 1/4
