1896 MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR 90% SILVER EXCELLENT CONDITION #449 The Morgan Dollar was designed by George T. Morgan, who studied his art at the Royal Mint in London, England. His initial M is found at the base of the neck by the forward lock of hair. Another M can be found on the reverse side on the left ribbon loop under the eagle's tail. Mint marks are found on the reverse side between and above the D and O of the word dollar. Our coins are from our family collection, which means most of these coins have been out of circulation for over forty years. They are in great to excellent condition. . We are not coin experts, so you will need to look carefully at the photo to make your own determination as to the quality of the item.
