18th Century Portrait KING CHARLES V Old Master Oil QUALITY ANTIQUE PAINTING BAROQUE MASTER OIL After TITIAN PORTRAIT OF KING CHARLES V LOW START PRICE! DATES- 18th Century ARTIST- After Titian MEDIUM- Oils on canvas DESCRIPTION- Very old continental oil painting on canvas depicting King Charles V with his favourite dog. Superb, very old rendition after Titian, the painting is composed and striking. One of a pair currently offered on Ebay by Belvoirfineart. CONDITION- The work is dark and dirty and requires a clean. Some dirty varnish is visible throughout and this one has been re-lined in antiquity. Craqueleur and the odd missing paint fleck can be seen. The painting was particularly difficult to photograph due to the glossy nature of the varnish so please excuse the reflection from the flash photography. Offered unframed.
