20" large, standing statue of Kwan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Traditionally, Kwan Yin is said to have attained enlightenment through hearing the sounds of all suffering beings, and represents our own innate ability to hear and respond to suffering, both our own and others. This statue is faux antique bronze, keeping the look but not having the drawback of the weight of bronze, detailed and with a particularly sweet face, something that's comparatively rare in Buddhist statues that are available for purchase. Kwan Yin, in this representation is shown with one hand raised to her ear, actively listening to the sounds of the world. The photograph taken in a garden is of the exact statue, not a stock photograph. This statue is perfectly at home either indoors or in the garden.
