Loetz Iridescent VaseThin RibbedDeep Blue Green Peacock I really love this vase. It's engaging. Changes colours, hues, and iridescence every time I look at it. Have to admit, took countless pictures, at various times of day. In the sunlight, out of the sunlight, in the morning, in the evening, dark background, light background, and every single time, every single picture reveals a different iridescence. It's the Chameleon of all Art Glass vases! And I love it. It's tuly graceful. It is tall, thin, and feels great in the hand. Has that soft, silky feel of a fine quality art glass. Nice. Just nice. Shape is good, too. Cylinder form. It's the iridescence which makes this piece truly a work of art. It's a bit rarer than traditional pieces of Loetz from the era. This piece is ribbed. Smoothly textured with thin, vertical striations. Striations capture the light. Basks in it. In full sun, it glows. Dramatic. Starts out blue cobalt, moves to greens, reds, purples, and gold tones towards the base. I love the artistic contrast of the peacock effect.
