Shown is an original ca.1900s enameled porcelain pin from the Union Castle Lines ocean liner, S.S. GALICIAN. This is truly a hard to find ship's pin, and one of the favorites in my collection! It is very early as the Galician was only in service from 1900 to 1914. She was renamed the S.S. GLENART CASTLE in 1914. Also, it is the only ship pin I have owned that is numbered (Ro 384023). The enameling and crossed flags are beautiful. No chips! I believe the Union Castle Lines flag is on the right. Overall, a very nice 1 1/4" pin that will wear or display well. See my photos.
