This auction is for: ONE (1) Very Nice & Very Collectible Vintage 1904 St. Louis World's Fair Badge . This original badge is for the Tribe of Ben Hur , TBH . This is a fraternal organization found in Indiana in the late 1800's. Based upon the official 1904 SLWF List of Activities, the TBH was officially recognized on the date: October 21, 1904. This badge is one of the survivors of this official recognition more than 105 Years ago. It measures 3-1/4 x 1-5/8 inches. It's three pieces; a goldtone bar with pinback; a red, white & blue ribbon; 1-12/16 inch picture medallion bearing the famous ship of Ben Hur. The medallion also has print - TRIBE OF BEN HUR WORLD FAIR, ST. LOUIS, 1904 . The back of the medallion as well as the ribbon are marked with the name of the maker - WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO NEWARK, NJ . I think the item is in Excellent Condition . It's exceptional for a 100+ year old badge. I have provided scans for your evaluation & any questions.
