This week I am listing some very special serving pieces from an estate service of DOMINICK and HAFF sterling silver in the "Imperial" pattern. Introduced in 1909, this design features classic shell, scroll and acanthus leaf motifs. The back of each piece has the maker's mark with "Sterling" and the patent date. These pieces are quite unusual and very Victorian--I believe I have identified them correctly but would appreciate any information. This silver is in excellent estate condition with no damage of any kind--just the light surface scratches that give antique sterling its warm patina. I have hand polished each piece lightly for photos. The only consideration is the "W" initial which was engraved over an original mono that has been removed. Please see photos--this is not a distraction but mentioned for accuracy. This auction offers the 10 1/8" Asparagus Server. The bowl of this beautiful piece is nicely gold-washed. It weighs about 5 ounces. An wonderful addition to a service or collection! The cost of U.S. shipping and proper packing varies with your postal zone. Please see the USPS estimate above. And be sure to check my other auctions for more "Imperial" sterling silver to save on combined shipping!
