Offering today is this lovely US Glass Co. circa 1909 Bulls Eye and Daisy Pattern Glass Nappy. The handled bowl is edged with Gold scalloped trim and the recessed area of the Bulls Eye is green flashing. Measures approx. 5" across and 2" tall. The green area is age and wear faded and the last two photos show the flea bites around the rim and a chip on the rim. Number #5 photo shows a cluster of bubbles in the glass bottom. US Glass operated from 1891-1963. A nappy in glassware terms is used to describe a open flat bottomed shallow serving bowl, usually with a handle. The term nappy likely derived from the obsolete word “nap” which referenced a drinking cup or bowl in Middle English. Please be aware my photos are considered part of the listing description and are based on my own knowledge, experience and research.
