Both Items were issued for the inaugural race at the Speedway Park Board Track in Chicago, Illinois. The race was postponed from the 19th to the 26th of June because of a transit strike.The 500 mile Speedway Auto Derby was won by Dario Resta in a Peugeot, who later won the 1916 Indy 500.This sale is for the pin and poster stamp. The pin button is 7/8" wide and the poster stamp is 2 1/2".Photos are: Resta winning at Chicago in a Peugeot and Resta, Indy 500 winner, in the same Peugeot.Photos are not part of the sale.I am selling my collection of over 700 racing pins, badges, medals and cards. The collection includes items from the United States and Europe, from 1909 to 2000. Some are extremely rare such as drivers identification pins and badges. It took a long time to collect them and will take some time to list this many items, so please be patient.
