Rare 11 1/2" by 14" original photograph of the August 7th, 1920 Presidental Notification banquet for Governor James M. Cox, the Democratic candidate and Ohio favorite son. In the afternoon a massive poliitical parade took place in downtown Dayton with the official dinner to be held that evening. Present in the auditorium was every notable Democrat in the country and at the head table Governor Cox can be clearly seen! The image was taken by Mayfield Galleries of Dayton and has their blindstamp at lower lefr corner. Condition is near mint on this mounted photo with bright and bold clarity! All Cox political material is scarce and unusual photography among the most sought after by collectors.
