This set of photos includes Michael Collins, Chief of the Provisional Government of the Irish Free State, Eamon De Valera, for several years the head of the Irish Republican movement, and Arthur Griffith, head of the Dail Eireann. The bottom image is of De Valera reviewing the Western Division of the Irish National Army at Six-Mile Bridge, County Clare.We have obtained a large collection of original folio-size rotogravures from The New York Times which were printed in 1922 and which covered historical events, people, and places from 1914-1922.
