Description ~ Old View of - BROOKLYN HARBOR, NEW YORK CITY ~ It Measures aprox. 9 x 13 inches (edge-to-edge) Offered for auction is this great antique 1920's sepiatone Photographic Picture-Print Image of: This nice aerial city view of, Brooklyn Harbor, New York City, showing the Bush Industrial Terminal, then the largest single co-ordination of industry and transportation in the world, covering over 200 acres, as it looked back then. A print (Not a Post-Card), printed on toned paper and mounted on light-weight back-board, (with a soft, non-glare surface finish, and a lined border), published and taken directly from a scarce 1923 volume/portfolio of Historic Scenes, Views and Events of the World at that time. In overall [Very-Good] Condition (very little age toning or fading to the print surface, no noticeable creasing). Although Not an Actual Original Photograph, it is NOT a recent reproduction and is a quality (Photographic-"ROTOGRAVURE", a quality printing process used then - but not to be confused with "Photogravure", which were different processes) print, produced and printed in 1923, and is over 80 years-old (and is being sold as a collectible only) , sharp, clear and even brighter than my scan shows (which also does not even show the full view due to the scanner window size, parts of the edges are not visible, so the read more
