This Gold Coin is from The $2.50 Gold Indian Head(1908-1929) This coin was removed from a ring and prong marks are evident on the obverse side, SEE PHOTOS!!! This coin has no mint mark , it was minted in Philadelphia . The designer is Bela Lyon Pratt (initials are located above 1928) Weight is 4.18 grams. Composition is 90% gold, 10% copper (net weight .12094 oz. pure gold) Diameter is 18 mm with reeded edge. THE WEIGHT IS .12094 OF AN OUNCE OF PURE GOLD This coin is extremely Rare and after the 1933 Meltdown no one knows how many are left. The $2 1/2 and the $5 Indian Head Gold Coins are the only gold coins with the Incuse Design.
