1928 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed Baseball with Cobb, Speaker. While the 1929-31 Athletics are properly celebrated for their remarkable feat of denying the mighty New York Yankees three consecutive American League flags, we've always been fascinated by the teams just before that Championship reign. No fewer than four ancient immortals made their last stands in Philly around this time--Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Zack Wheat and Eddie Collins--and the first two of them are counted among the seventeen legible autographs applied to this OAL (Harridge) ball. Other notables include Foxx, Grove, Mack, Cochrane and Simmons. That's seven Hall of Famers! Signatures are light, but the talent is off the charts. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.HID03201242017 Grade: 0, Service: Appraised, Service No.: 2214406
