Up for auction is a 1930s-40s Silvray Lighting fixture, model 2615. Machine age streamlined style reflector, this multi-tier spun aluminum fixture with socket adapter feature a baked enameled tan finish with polished chrome accents. This unique vintage fixture was designed by Morris B. Beck for the Silvray Lighting Co., New York. The self-contained reflector simply screws into a standard flush mount ceiling socket for use as indirect lighting. Measures 12" in diameter and approximately 9" tall from tip to tip of bulb. The chrome metal on both upper and lower plates is somewhat pitted (having been stored in an attic for years) however the enamel is in tact with no scratches or dings. The actual light bulb has a few specks and flakes missing however not a major issue and actually adds to the piece when lit. The GE bulb is original to the piece but you can buy replacement (chrome covered bulb). The base of the housing has some paint scrapes but cannot be seen when the unit is screwed into socket; there are also drops of paint in the interior of lamp shades, again cannot be seen when put in place. It can easily be restored. All in all the light is in good condition for its age.
