This auction is for a fantastic and hard to find Art Deco, semi flush mount, ceiling light fixture.This is from the 1930s. I believe this was actually an industrial fixture made by SILVRAY.This is an early "UFO light" and there is a reason they are called that, the shadows this light throws are awesome!I guess I would describe this as a metal shade that screws into a ceiling box and then your bulb screws into the shade. This is quite different than anything manufactured today, so please see all the images and enlarge them to get more of an idea of how this sets up.For a fixture this old...1930s, this is not in bad condition, with that stated there is some rust present on the edges of the outer rings and on the (see images) the rust spots are not hugely visible when it's installed. I am not a restoration person, so I did nothing to alter the finish of this fixture, or to try to remove the rust.There may have been a ceiling plate that went with the item that is up for auction, but I haven't been able to find one for this particular style.For purposes of display we have this screwed into an Eaton plastic keyless ceiling socket (Google that and Lowe's and you'll see them for 1.71)There are way better (even modern) options that will mount this to your ceiling but I'll leave that to the buyer.The plastic ceiling mount doesn't come with
