CHARLES A. LINDBERGH – LONE EAGLE, SOCIETY OF MEDALISTS, ISSUE #004, MacMonnies' best-known medal is that of Charles A. Lindbergh, who in 1927 made the first west-east, non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic. The Lindbergh medal is also one of the most popular of all the SOM medals and was the fourth issue in this distinguished series. It is also considered one of the best medallic portrait.The medal comes with a COPY of the original descriptive pamphlet of issue. A dramatic and impressive medal!
