Lovely gem proof SILVER example of this 1954 Geoffrey Hearn Series Restrike of the Fantasy Edward VIII Silver crown Crisp proof features with reflective fields and beautiful cameos and minimal marks - hint of gold at rim edge adds beauty and there is a couple patches of very light gray tone about that adds character (tan color in images is due to light reflection...coin has mirrored fields) This is Unusual World Coins reference no. X-M1B This 1954 Geoffrey Hearn Series restrike silver Edward VIII Fantasy Crown coin weighs 28.10 g. Geoffrey Hearn, a keen coin collector, decided he would have some additional "coin types" created celebrating King Edward VIII for the colonies (that didn't actually have circulating coins produced in his name or in this case crowned sized pieces, because he abdicated before they could be struck). The scanned images depict this coin fairly well, but can't due justice to gorgeous bright reflective luster, attractive gold at rim edge and reflective nature of this 1954 Geoffrey Hearn Series AUSTRALIA 1936 Restrike SILVER Edward VIII Fantasy Crown.
