This is a full-sized, limited edition keepsake commemorating the inaugural Hall of Fame election. The results were announced in the media on Feb. 2, 1936, and featured Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner as the Class of 1936. Facsimile signatures and block-letter names identifying that year's enshrines include: Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner. The venue's logo has been engraved between the center-brand and barrel stampings and the deep mahogany brown Louisville Slugger bat bears the facsimile signatures or block-letter names of the inductees. The barrel stamping reads in full, "National Baseball - Hall of Fame -and is dated January 29, 1936. Limited Edition - "396 of 500." Bat size is approx 34".
