"THE LITTLE KING" WOOD ROLLER TOY - 1939 K.F.S. / Jaymar. Painted wood. 2.25" x 2.25" x 3.75" graphic box.Includes a 2.25" diameter x 3.75" wood spool toy (rubber band action). The toy is operated by pulling the string in the King's crown. The spool in the bottom is wound and rolls when the string is left go.The rubber band had been replaced, and the rolling action is very sluggish at best. That being said, we are selling this vintage plaything as inoperable, & offering it solely for its display potential, especially accented by the original box.Great figural likenesses of Otto Soglow's popular comic strip / cartoon character.Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear.BOX - Moderate surface creasing with scattered edge roughness & approx. 3/4" edge separation on upper flap. Misc. surface staining with flaps still intact. Red color is still bold & bright.TOY - Moderate spot paint wear. 1/4" wood separation on face (between eyes). Rolling action is very sluggish at best & deemed inoperable. Colors are still bold, bright and attractive.Overall, despite defects, we feel this item is still in very displayable condition by most standards (see photos).It would make a scarce find for the COMIC CHARACTER and/or VINTAGE TOY MEMORABILIA enthusiast.
