The Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club 1939 - Tune In Duquesne's Baseball Sportcasters, Sponsored by The Duquesne Brewing Co., Pittsburgh, Penna. Makers of Duquesne Pilsener "The Finest Beer in Town." Sportcasters listed are: Chet Smith, KDKA; Tom Manning, WTAM; Ed. Sprague, WWVA; and Kiren Balfe, WMMN. On the back is "Pick Your Favorite Player" from photograph on opposite side, and lists the players by name, including Honus Wagner (Coach) and Harold (Pie) Traynor (Mgr.). This is a black and white paper advertisement that measures 8 7/8 X 5 7/8 inches (not sure if it has been trimmed - looks complete). There are several vertical/diagonal wrinkles and a teensy tear at the bottom edge. Nice piece of Pirates history as well as Pittsburgh breweriana! Only one available - out of my personal collection. Postage $4.00.
